Volunteer & Intern Opportunities
We rely on volunteers' skills and passions to lead many of our important initiatives.
Nature in the City volunteers and interns engage with communities, plants, and animal life. Our collaborative projects will connect you with our partners and leading advocates in the San Francisco Bay Area. Together, let's pool ideas and resources to address issues facing urban nature.
In addition to these opportunities, see more here: how you can take part.
If you are interested in a specific role, email us at email@example.com with a brief message. We look forward to connecting with you!
We are open to all corporate supporters and make determinations on a case-by-case basis. We allow groups of 15-30 people to volunteer for two to four hours.
We offer three levels:
Pay what you can. Our volunteer opportunities require coordination, water, tools, gloves, supply, and volunteer management, which costs from $500 to $1,000. At this level, volunteers bring their own snacks, and events are limited to two hours because we can not provide a porta-potty.
$1,000 pays for above, plus snacks, porta-potty, and habitat restoration supplies, such as plants and erosion control wattles.
$1,500 and greater pays for above plus sponsors future volunteer opportunities.
Check out our MeetUp Calendar to find out about monthly workdays at Adah’s Stairway, Palou Phelps Park, Alemany Farm, and the Green Hairstreak Corridor.
We do not currently have internship positions open. Please check back and/or sign up for our newsletter at the footer to learn about future opportunities.
